Anomaly is where the archive starts to feel like history.
This album reaches back to 1996 in spirit, not in sound, because the production is more sophisticated, but in approach. The tracks are minimal in a way that the later albums aren't. Less layering. More space. The kind of music that comes from a single room and doesn't apologise for it.
Back to the Beginning
Thirty years of making music means thirty years of accumulation. Anomaly was an attempt to subtract, to go back to the question of what actually matters in a track, what can be removed, what has to stay.
The Anomaly
The title refers to tracks that don't fit the pattern. Every producer has them, the ones that came from nowhere, that don't sound like the other work, that you can't explain. This album is a collection of those moments.
